TONKAWA DRIVE ONLY - WATER BOIL NOTICE
April 20, 2026
Boil Water Notice
Hilltop Lakes Water Supply Corporation
PWS ID: 1450006
Affected Area: Tonkawa Drive
Date Issued: April 20, 2026
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has notified Hilltop Lakes Water Supply Corporation that the conditions in the drinking water system require customers to boil their water prior to consumption. This notice is being issued because water pressure in parts of the system has fallen below the required 25 psi, which may allow harmful microbes to enter the distribution system.
Required Action for All Customers
Until further notice, all customers in the affected area must boil their water before use:
- Boil water vigorously for at least two minutes.
- Allow it to cool before using it for:
- Drinking, Cooking or food preparation, Making ice, Brushing teeth, Washing fruits or vegetables
Alternately, you may use bottled water for these purposes.
Reason for Notice
This Boil Water Notice is required due to:
Loss of pressure due to extreme weather conditions, and
Low distribution pressure triggers a mandatory Boil Water Notice under TCEQ standards and must be issued within 24 hours of the event. [tceq.texas.gov]
What We Are Doing
Hilltop Lakes Water Supply Corporation crews are:
- Performing repairs, Flushing the distribution lines, Restoring proper pressure, Ensuring acceptable chlorine residual levels, Collecting and submitting bacteriological samples for testing
A Boil Water Notice cannot be lifted until repairs are complete and lab results confirm the water is safe. Sample testing alone requires a minimum of 18 hours, and most notices remain in effect 24–48 hours.
